A way to see: what else is going to give me ideas, what has worked for other groups, what hasn’t worked, how others are doing what they are doing (including funding). Ideally each new project builds on what others have done.
See ways that my efforts fit into a bigger vision- this in part gives me a way to gauge success- i.e. it helps to compare my efforts to others.
A repository of what I have and am working on to share- in exchange for seeing what others are doing and also to hope that my efforts continue on even if I move onto other projects.

I would like us to try and start having more conversations on a platform that allows for a more inclusive discussion. Emails between just a couple of people are of course fine for many things but there are also larger discussions that would be better documented in the open. I for one will try to do more of this.
