The Something Special from Wisconsin program is a marketing tool to promote unique, authentic, Wisconsin products. Since 1983 the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection has provided the program to assist Wisconsin companies looking to enhance their brand. Any Wisconsin business, no matter the size, may participate provided that at least 50 percent of their product's or commodity's value added is attributable to Wisconsin ingredients, processing or production activities. Yearly membership fees are based on gross annual sales from the previous year and range from $10 to $200.
